I decided to buy her because ① I don't have a camera, ② we're going away for the weekend and I don't plan to take my phone but I'd like to take pictures, and ③ because my sister's getting married soon and I'd like something other than grainy iPhone photos to remember her by when she moves halfway around the world.
My first 'real' camera was a Canon Rebel SLR, which I adored, so I figured I'd display some brand loyalty and give the SX510 a shot.
Here's hoping delivery is earlier than expected!
