The House Hunt

We found it!

Elliott and I have been searching for a couple of months now for our first home. On Friday afternoon, we went to see a cute little yellow house downtown and immediately fell in love. We made an offer on Saturday, it was accepted on Sunday, and so we begin the process of buying!

The house is a real gem. It's small, but the yard is enormous. It has four mature elm trees in the front yard, lilac bushes in the back, and the house has been well taken care of, and well loved. It was an honor and a treat to meet the current owner when we looked at the house on Friday, and we loved hearing how she felt about the house and her memories there. The inspection and appraisal will happen in the next couple of weeks, so while it's not one hundred percent final, we're crossing our fingers and praying that this is The One.

PS - did I mention it's 99 years old? I'm getting my old house!!

I just had to share it with all of you. We're so excited. And now, I have mountains of homework to do before my next class. Expect more pictures soon!
